When God Says No
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirst.   John 6:35

There are times when the one thing you want is the thing you never get. . .
You pray and wait.

No answer.

You pray and wait.
May I ask a very important question? What if God says no?
What if the request is delayed or even denied? When God says no to you, how will you
Respond? If God says, “I’ve given you my grace, and that is enough,” will you be content?

Content. That’s the word. A state of heart in which you would be at peace if God gave you nothing more than he already has.

A thankful attitude opens windows of heaven. Spiritual blessings fall freely onto you through those openings into eternity. Moreover, as you look up with a grateful heart, you get glimpses of Glory through those windows. You cannot yet live in heaven, but you can experience foretastes of your ultimate home. Such samples of heaven fare revive your hope. Thankfulness opens you up to these experiences, which then provide further reasons to be grateful. Thus, your path becomes an upward spiral: ever increasing in gladness.
Thankfulness is not some sort of magic formula; it is the language of Love, which enables you to communicate intimately with Me. A thankful mind-set does not entail a denial of reality withits plethora of problems. Instead, it rejoices inMe, your Savior, in the midst of trails and tribulations. I am your refuge and strength, and ever=present and well proved help in trouble.

A diligent Search
Anyone who comes to god must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.   Hebrews 11:6

One translation renders Hebrew 11:6″ God. . .  Rewards those who earnestly seek him” I like the KIng James translation: “He is a rewarder of them the diligently seek him”

Diligently—–what a great word. Be diligent in your search. Be hungry in your quest, relentless in your pi;grimage. Let this book be but one of dozens you read about Jesus. . . Step away from the puny pursuits of possessions and positions, amd seek your King.

Don’t be satisfied with angels. Don’t be content with stars in the sky. Seek him out as the shepherds did. Long for him as Simeon did. Worship him as the wise men did. Do as John and Andrew did: ask hor his address. Do as Mathew invite Jesus into your house. Imitate Zacchaeus. Risk whatever it takes to see Christ.

Thank Me throughout this day for My Presence and My Peace. These are gifts of supernatural proportions. Ever since the resurrection I have comforted My followers with these messages: Peace be with you, and I am with you always. Listen as I offer you My Peace and Presence in full measure, The  EST way to receive these glorious gifts is to thank Me for them.
It is impossible to spend too much time thanking and praising Me. I created you  first and foremost to glorify Me, opening the way for My riches to flow into you. A you thank Me for My Presence and Peace, you appropriate My richest gifts.

Leave outcome to Me, Follow Me wherever I lead, without worrying about how it will all turn out. Think of your life as an adventure, with Me as your Guide and Companion, Live in the now, concentrating on staying in step with Me. When our path leads to a cliff, be willing to climb it with My help. When we come to a resting place, take time to be refreshed in My Presece. Enjoy the rhythm of life lived close to Me.

What Makes God, God?
If we are not faithful, he will still be faithful, because he cannot be false to himself.      2 Timothy 2:13
God’s blessing are dispensed according to the riches of hs grace , not according to the depth of your faith. . .
Why is that important to know? So you won’t get cynical. Look around you. Aren’t there more wounds than physicians?  Aren’t there more who need the truth than those who tell it?

So what do we do? Throw up our hands and walk away? Tell the world we can’t help them?

NO, we don’t give up. We look up. We trust. We believe. And our optimism is not ho;;ow. Christ has proven worthy. He has shown that he never fails. That’s what makes God, God.

It’s Your Choice
If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me.    Mark 8:34

On one side stands the crowd.

Jeering, Baiting, Demanding.

On the other stands a peasant.

Swollen lips. Lumpy eye. Lofty promise.

ONE PROMISES ACCEPTANCE, THE OTHER A CROSS.

One offers flesh and flash, the other offers faith.

The crowd challenges, “Follow us and fit in.”

Hesus promises, “Follow me and stand out.”

The promise to please. God promises to save.

God looks at you and asks, “Which will be your choice

PCome to Me, and rest in My Peace. My Face is shining upon you, in rays of Peace transcending understanding. Instead of trying to figure things out yourself, you can reAX IN THE RESENCE OF THE ONE  who knows everything. As you lean on Me in dependence, you feel peaceful and complete. This is   how I designed you to live: in close communion withMe.
When you are around other people, you tend to cater to their expectations—- real or imagined. You feel enslaved to pleasing them, and your awareness of My Presence grows dim. Your efforts to win their  approval eventually exhaust you. You offer these people dry crumbs rather than the living water of My Spirit flowing through you. This is not My way for you! Stay in touch with Me, even during your busiest moments. Let My Spirit give you word of grace as you live in the Light of My Peace.

As you look at the day before you, you see a twisted, complicated path, with branches going off in all directions. You wonder how you can possibly find your way through that maze. Then you remember the One who is with you always, holding you by your right hand. You recall My promise to guide you with My counsel, and you begin to relax. As you look again at the path ahead, you notice that a peaceful fog has settled over it., obscuring your view. You can see only a few steps in front of you, so you turn your attention more fully to Me and begin to enjoy My Presence.

The fog is a protection for you, calling back into the present moment. Although I inhabit all of space and time, you can communicate with Me only here and now. Someday the fog wll no longer be necessary, for you will have learned to keep your focus on Me and on the path just ahead of you.
